Jung Suh (Choi Ji Woo) and Song Joo (Kwon Sang Woo) were best friends since young and shared a special bond with each other. They became closer when Jung Suh's mum passed away and Song Joo also lost his dad at a young age. Jung Suh's dad remarries and she is now caught with a new stepmother, stepbrother, and stepsister. The stepsister, Yoori (Kim Tae Hee) is envious of Jung Suh and Song Joo's relationship and tries her best to win Song Joo's affection but Song Joo has eyes only for Jung Suh.....


In Stairway To Heaven.... beginning with the classical OST "Ave Maria" and the stirring "Bogoshipda" being used as backdrops, your taken on a emotional rollercoaster ride. Through the young actors and Kwon Sang Woo's passionate performances, you experience their heartbreaking pain and joy, and develop love/hate relationships w/ the rest of the cast. KSW devastates w/ his soul-wrenching sobs, the street curb scene shatters your heart. Damn that man can cry. This series defined what Korean drama is all about, IMHO (lol). 5 stars.....delta

~ one word: DAMN

It's so sad! I cried non stop for the first 7 episodes, then I didn't feel like crying again until the last few episodes. i really liked the beginning, jung suh was so cute young and so was soo joo. I loved it!. a 5 because the emotions were so there. gracias delta

BEST drama of all.time. All the characters were chosen very well and were extremely convincing. I absolutely recommend it. The soundtrack is amazing.
