There where a lot of people that wouldnt believe that there is really going to be a new Stage6 (R.I.P). Vreel claimed they would be the new Stage6 (R.I.P). I musst say that I was sceptic about this claim they made (and still are).

Im a beta tester and thus have seen and tried their platform. Im not to happy about it I think their design is the worst video design I ever saw and they miss a lot of key features (like downloading the videos and embing). In my opinion they will never reach what Stage6 (R.I.P) did however there are positive things I musst say about them.

They claim to have fast buffer speeds and upload speeds and yes they do. For me its not that fast (buffer is) but the server is a bit far from me. I get upload speeds of just 22KB which is really really low. However buffering usually goes instantly for me. I have heard people reaching upload speeds of 120KB/s.

So will it be the next Stage6 (R.I.P) ?

No site will ever replace Stage6 (R.I.P).
I have heard about VReel to, but haven't seen it yet (I am not a betatester).
But if they are dealing with Limelight Networks, it might be something to look at (as Limelight Networks hosted Stage6 (R.I.P)).
By the way, did you hear that supernovetube signed a contract with Limelight Networks?

I did but supernovatube is more of a youtube then a Stage6 (R.I.P)

Today is it launch I can confirm that it already has a lot of Heroes episodes on there for one thing. 1 movie (Drilbit Taylor) which so far has not been deleted.

Im impressed by the speeds vreel has it buffers instantly and so far it has nearly 3000 videos already with just about 200 Beta application I myself uploaded 5 vids. 3 music vids and the first episode of the fresh prince of bel air

So far it looks promosing though im not convinced I am impressed.

The open beta of vreel works fine as well I think, so vreel might indeed be an alternative.
